About our Founder
Minka Boyd is the founder of LINC. When asked as a child what she wanted to be she would say she wanted to be a Mom. This led to earning a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education. She taught kindergarten and then started her first business, a child care facility. Her life then took a turn to real estate development when she became a real estate agent in 1999. In 2005 she started a real estate development company with two other partners and has since founded and developed other real estate development focused companies. Her desire to start LINC came from the combination of her early desire to raise up children (three of her own!) and years of real estate development. The convergence of these ideas was birthed over the the past three years while she attended Charis Bible College.
Our Story
LINC is a ministry and business partnership idea spun out of the Charis Bible College Leadership program. The heart of our focus is youth as they are the heart of any healthy society and the hope of a fruitful future. Our desire is to see youth experience the impact of knowing their identity in Christ, developing a vision for their life and ultimately finding their place in the body of Christ. LINC will plant seeds using biblical teachings to build a strong foundation taught and nurtured by LINC trained instructors who passionately share these values. The world we live in today is the embodiment of the seeds we planted in youth of yesterday. As stewards of this world we live in we must value the world's most precious resource, our youth. The world's future is in the hands of those who steward the fertile soil of our youth's hearts.​LINC plans to start by going deep first with a student housing program in Woodland Park where we will train Charis Bible College students to help launch and lead LINC youth programs around the world. This will be a taproot anchoring the ministry, developing a source of deeply rooted leaders in a process of immersion. Maturing as they live, work and train together creating a source of rich leadership that is caught by those they will lead into their God given purpose.​Once the tap root takes hold we plan to break the surface and begin to grow wide launching the youth program first in the Woodland Park/ Colorado Springs area and then into other states and countries as the doors open. We will grow in relation to our housing program that will supply our instructors for the youth keeping balance and a strong support system to weather what comes. LINC is not a program that competes with other youth programs it is a core teaching that helps ground youth helping them anchor and grow the organizations they are involved in. We are dedicated to ground and connect as many youth organizations as possible to strengthen the body of Christ in this hour. We see ourselves as a support embracing the body to help it rise to it's calling. LINC's final objective will be to rise into the marketplace by setting up a business and ministry incubator program starting with a real estate development franchise business that will use the same LINC fundamentals to develop leaders. This business will branch out into developing farm based communities that are structured to build and support strong families around the world. It will also become a vital contributor to developing and expanding the heart of LINC's calling, our youth program. Our goal is to build a network of passionate influencers as deep and wide as possible around the world connected by one heart in God. We will be like a tree covering the earth that never ends...a beacon of God's hope that never goes out.
